Disenfranchised

There's not much point in my voting 4 weeks from today.

Why? I live in California. It's not even in play. My vote will not count.

But I will do my civic duty nonetheless, and go to the polls like a good girl.

No No No - We gotta act like we live in a swing state. Convince everyone to go out and support W. You never know what could happen. At 5:00pm PST the alphabets announce that Bush has won Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida and that the election is over. At 6:00pm PST Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota come in for Bush. At 6:01 pm PST the left goes to bed, crying in their chardonay. The Bushies all go to the polls in California to celebrate. We win!

Cal-i-forn-i-a needs all the help it can get from those of us who are accostomed to using the matter between our ears. So adopt the Chicago plan; vote early and often. The polls can't tell registered from likely so what are the chances Cal registers can see multi-registration ? Of course this is illegal for non-Demos. So register Demo and vote as you choose.

Hmmmm... intriguing thoughts, Irishlass, but I thought I had heard rumblings about there being no announcements in eastern states while polls remain open anywhere in the U.S....? So I don't know if that will work. In 1980 I was on my way to the polls at 7:30 p.m. when I heard on the radio that Carter had already conceded. I voted anyway, but it certainly would have been easy to turn around and go home!
Voteanyway, don't you know it's only Democrats who commit voter fraud? :) I am a recovering Democrat, I will admit... but I have reformed my ways!
